Athletics at OLPH
Faith. Teamwork. Tradition. Excellence.
Building Character, Confidence, and Community Through Sports
At Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic School (OLPH) in Scottsdale, Arizona, athletics are an important part of our mission to educate the whole child — mind, body, and spirit.
Our Catholic school sports program helps students grow in character, teamwork, and leadership while building lifelong habits of health and discipline. As part of the Catholic Youth Athletic Association (CYAA) in the Diocese of Phoenix, OLPH student-athletes learn to compete with integrity, lead with humility, and play with purpose.
Athletics Philosophy
The OLPH athletics program supports the mission of our Catholic school — to educate the whole child in mind, body, and spirit. Participation in sports helps students develop responsibility, perseverance, and respect for others. We emphasize teamwork over trophies and character over competition.
Our program seeks to teach every athlete to:
- Be a contributing and responsible team member.
- Give selflessly in working toward shared goals.
- Respect teammates, opponents, coaches, and officials.
- Keep perspective, play with integrity, and grow in humility.
Athletics at OLPH are designed to build confidence, foster loyalty and school spirit, and promote a healthy balance of competition and cooperation.
